Royal Palm

Roystonea regia    Royal says it all with this tree! This single stem palm has smooth rings accented by a pale gray trunk and a swollen middle or base.  A tight crown of elegant plumes tops this off with arching feathers of brilliant bright green. Tiny, three petal, cup-shaped flowers bloom just below the crown anytime of the year.  A terrific plant to grow anywhere! A must have for any plant enthusiast!

Sowing instructions: Soak seed overnight. Sow seed at 81 degrees F in standard good draining potting mix.  

Plant Care: Grow in a standard potting mix.  Water  moderately and feed once a month. Transplant when large enough to handle into pots.  Keep humid if in dry conditions by occasional misting. This tree is not fussy about soil type. Zone 10 - 11 for standard growing outdoors otherwise grow as a beautiful greenhouse or house plant.     Item # rsd - 67
