Solanum quitoense

Apricot Tomato Solanum quitoense    It doesn't Get any more exotic than this! This bushy plant from the tropics has beautiful purple tinted, fuzzy leaves.  Red flowers are followed by tomato-like fruit ripening to an orange-red with the flavor much like that of an Apricot.       Item # rsd - 03  

Sowing instructions: Soak seed overnight. Sow seed at 65-68 degrees F in standard good draining potting mix. 

Plant Care: Grow in a standard potting mix.  Water  moderately and feed once a month. Transplant when large enough to handle into pots. Grow in full light, water freely during growing season, sparingly in winter and feed once a month with a high potash fertilizer. Keep humid if in dry conditions by occasional misting. Shade from hot sun if grown outdoors

The leaves have rows of protective thorns on top and bottom and are fuzzy.  This is a very exotic, prehistoric looking  plant.  6 Months old.
