Fruit follows with long cones of silk-like wool that is used in to make expensive pillows.  Sow seed in standard potting mix.  Water when needed.  Item#rsd-55

Star Apple (Chrysophyllum Cainito)  Sapotaceae   An attractive ornamental fruit tree with alluring, deep green leaves on sturdy branches. The leaves have a copper-like color on their undersides.  Young branches are covered with light brown hairs.  Small, delicate, purple flowers grace this tree followed by smooth skinned, round fruit that resemble pomegranates, with star-shaped sections.  The fruit can range in color from deep red to purple.  Sow seed in standard potting mix with a little sand.  Grow in full light, water regularly and feed once a month.   Item#rsd-74 *
