Often called Lady Bug tree for the varying sized black spot on the orange red seed.  
This drought tolerant small tropical tree can grow up to 7'  and makes a perfect houseplant or plant for greenhouse culture.

The seeds are used by Amazonian Indians for making necklaces. These necklaces are sold to tourist as well as used in ceremonies.

Soak seeds 24 hours then plant in standard potting mix.  Keep soil temperature warm  until germination. Grow in full light and feed once a month. Can be grown outdoors in zones 9 B - 11.

The interior wood is pink to red or salmon colored and is used for furniture, interior construction and veneer.   Item # rsd-123
