Strawberry Guava

 Psidium cattleianum P. littorale 

A small evergreen shrub or small tree from Brazil with long, leathery leaves of dark green and a deep brown bark and large crown of foliage. Beautiful white flowers grow to 3-4” followed by 2” dark red fruit. The fruit tastes a little like a pear-strawberry mix and resemble miniature pomegranates. They are eaten fresh or preserved.  Hardy outdoors in zones 9b-11.     

 Sow seed in standard potting mix.  Grow in full sun, water regularly and feed once a month.   Item#rsd-96
