Erythrina smithiana

  Coral Tree From Ecuador this attractive small tree can grow to 25' in its native habitat. It blooms bright red tubular flowers in terminal clusters and the mature pods twist open exposing a neat display of bright red seeds. This is a relatively uncommon Erythrina and hard to find! 

Sow seed at 70-75 degrees in standard potting mix.  Grow in full light and water freely during growing season.  Feed once a month.  

Very Frost tender. Grows outdoors in zones 10-12 otherwise grow as a beautiful houseplant.
