I WANT TO DESIGN MY GARDEN BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START, ANY ADVICE?
Inspiration can come from anywhere, but to give you a more practical answer: take a look at your pre-existing assets. What is the one feature you already like about your garden? Why do you like it? Consider the question for a minute and before you know it you could have the spark of inspiration you have been looking for. You can make this one redeeming feature the focal point for your design and build around this one feature, making something unique and interesting.
THE WEEDS IN MY GARDEN ARE OUT OF CONTROL, HELP!
Weeds grow in large numbers when they are permitted to. Poor turf is the breeding ground for weeds, so the best way to combat them is to prevent them from growing is to tackle your turf. There are many reasons for turf decline. You could be watering it too much or too little. There may be insufficient sunlight reaching the grass. The most common reason though is that you are mowing your turf too low. You should never cut more than 1/3 of the blade. If you are cutting more, the grass will start to die and as a result: weeds will start to grow.
