Sowing instructions:   Sow indoors in flats or small pots and keep warm. Transplant in early spring in a well prepared seed bed.  Water well before germination then water as needed.  Optimum soil temperature is 55-75 degrees F.  

Plant Care: For the biggest yields place plants in raised composted beds.  Water regularly.  

Growing Tips:

  • Keep plants well watered
  • Transplant plants 12" apart in rows 18" - 36" apart
  • Stagger planting for extended harvest
  • Harvest before flower buds open
  • Once you've cut the central head leave the plant to produce smaller ones that  begin maturing on all sides
  • Best Harvested before temperatures reach 80 degrees F
  • Plant again 12 - 8 weeks before first frost date
